I’m a technology enthusiast with experience across corporate and defence sectors, specialising in application support and the management of financial systems. For the past three years, I’ve been working in the NDIS space, where I combine my technical expertise with a solid understanding of NDIS legislation and requirements. Security forms the basis of all my decisions, ensuring that innovation and accessibility are always underpinned by safety and compliance. I’m passionate about using technology to drive innovation and make systems more accessible and supportive for both participants and staff. Outside of work, I enjoy an active and hands-on lifestyle, from flying planes and scuba diving to working with power tools, and most importantly, spending quality time with my family.

With experience in plan management, I have developed a strong understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by individuals with disabilities. Before focusing on the disability sector, I spent several years in hardship business banking, where I honed my skills in financial management and client relations. My diverse background also includes three years living in Phuket, where I worked in sales and marketing, gaining valuable insights into customer engagement and business development. I am committed to leveraging my experience and passion to support individuals and organizations in the disability community. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my daughter, catching up with friends and going for long walks which keep me inspired and motivated. I'm an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker currently enjoying a multifaceted role as a Clinical Supervisor, Social Worker, and Positive Behavior Support practitioner. Over the years, I've embraced a variety of positions, including roles as a Counsellor, Clinical Supervisor, Manager, Educator, and Program Developer. My professional journey reflects a profound interest in early intervention, behavior intervention, and sensory integration. My experience spans both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities as well as non-Aboriginal clients. With over a decade in the Early Childhood, Disability, and Social Services sector, I've provided clinical expertise to individuals and families dealing with mental health challenges, such as Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, and issues like Addiction, Suicide Risk, and Trauma. In my previous roles, I played a key part in developing program implementation, evaluation measurement tools, and frameworks. My approach to intervention blends current and traditional best practices, always tailored to the unique needs of individuals, their families, and caregivers. My world is colored by the laughter shared with my husband and two kids. I enjoy playing Netball, Soccer, and the deep serenity I find when I do scuba diving and snorkeling. Each day is a canvas of love, family, and the simple joys that make life uniquely mine.

With a diverse background that spans roles at Enfield Aboriginal welfare, as a Domestic Violence (DV) case manager for women's safety services, a DV hub case worker for KWY, and a Project Officer for Nunkuwarrin yunti, my journey has been deeply rooted in community service. Currently, I contribute my expertise as a cultural supervisor for 2B Inclusive, where I passionately uphold the values of cultural competence, holistic care, and wellness focus. Beyond my professional endeavors, I find solace in canvas painting during my spare moments and nurturing life through gardening. My mission is clear: to provide services that are not only culturally competent but also holistically centered on wellness. I firmly believe that every body and every mind deserve the same level of care and attention. In honoring this commitment, I strive to contribute positively to the well-being of individuals, fostering an environment where everyone's uniqueness is not just recognised but celebrated.

I am a qualified Counsellor and Early Intervention Therapist, trained in The ESDM model approach. My professional experience primarily revolves around working with children and young people in community and educational settings, providing therapy sessions that centre around play therapy to promote social interaction, well-being, and enjoyable learning experiences. My commitment is rooted in treating each person with utmost respect and compassion, ensuring unbiased confidentiality and goodwill. As Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, I have extensive experience working with a diverse range of clients, spanning various cultural backgrounds, ages, and mental health complexities, with a particular focus on trauma-informed care. My ultimate goal is to promote well-being and human growth, always adhering to ethical practices and complying with the statutory requirements of the Australian Counselling Industry and NDIS principles and values. I approach my work from a person-centred perspective, where the emphasis is on individuals and their capabilities rather than their conditions. This is complemented by a strength-based approach, highlighting internal strengths and resourcefulness. Compassion and empathy are at the core of my interactions, and I am always eager to assist others in achieving their goals. Furthermore, I adopt a holistic approach to support, looking at the complete person rather than just their mental health needs. Taking into consideration physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being, I utilise expressive arts, dance, art, or music, and mindfulness practices like meditation and relaxation techniques, along with physical approaches such as yoga. I am a Social Worker with a diverse background spanning disability support, residential care and the military. Before stepping into positive behaviour support, I worked in specialised residential care, supporting teenagers in emergency, short-term and long-term care settings. Prior to that, I spent a decade serving in the Royal Australian Air Force, where I developed strong skills in human resources and worked with complex teams both in domestically and internationally. I’m passionate about working alongside individuals with disabilities and their families, advocating for their rights and empowering them to build meaningful lives. I believe in taking a personalised approach, understanding that every individual has unique strengths, challenges and needs. My experience across a wide range of disabilities has given me a deep appreciation for the importance of tailored and compassionate support. Outside of work I love spending time outdoors, whether it’s at the beach or travelling to explore new cultures. I’m also a keen trivia fan, an avid reader and a proud supporter of the AFL team, Geelong Cats. Most of all I value quality time with my partner and family. As a parent of a child on the NDIS I have firsthand experience navigating the system. This personal perspective fuels my commitment to ensuring families receive the right support, making the process as smooth and empowering as possible.

My professional journey has equipped me with valuable experience in working with diverse groups, including both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander as well as Non-Aboriginal clients. My expertise extends to supporting children, adolescents, and young adults. Additionally, I have worked with elderly individuals coping with Dementia, as well as those managing disability and mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD. My passion lies in collaborating with clients, their families, and support networks to provide tailored interventions that address their unique needs. This personalised approach reflects my commitment to fostering positive change and promoting holistic well-being within the individuals and communities I serve. I am also a Zumba teacher. I enjoy going out and spending time with my friends.

I bring a passion for making a meaningful impact on the individuals, families and caregivers that I support. Drawing from my own life experiences, I'm driven to inspire those facing disabilities, encouraging them to pursue lives rich with fulfillment and meaning. Academically, I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Adelaide University, which lays the groundwork for my understanding of human behaviour and needs. Additionally, I've pursued post-graduate studies, earning degrees in both business and organisational development, enhancing my ability to navigate the intricacies of managing resources and organisational dynamics within the disability services sector. In my leisure time, I find joy in cooking for loved-ones, listening to music, and prioritising fitness and health to unwind. But above all, nothing fills my heart more than being a dad.

I am a British/Australian social worker with a background in therapeutic clinical practice, specifically with children, adolescents and their families. My professional experience has equipped me with the skills to holistically consider a person’s unique circumstances and provide supportive interventions relevant to their needs. It is my great privilege to have worked with a diverse range of people with a variety of complexities and presentations. In particular my work has predominately been with people living with a disability and experiencing mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, personality disorders, eating disorders, alcohol and drug dependencies, and psychosis. I believe passionately that people know their story best, and together with my skill set in identifying unique strengths, when we work collaboratively as a team, this produces the best outcomes. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with gorgeous border collie puppy and my husband going for hikes and camping.

She began her career as a Support Worker where she developed a strong foundation in person-centred care and advocacy. This hands-on experience inspired her transition into Behaviour Support driven by her commitment to helping people achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life. With personal experience assisting family members living with disability, Akasha brings a deep level of understanding and empathy to her practice. She recognises the challenges of navigating support systems and is passionate about empowering individuals to live as independently as possible. Akasha holds a Bachelor of Psychology and has additional qualifications in mental health, business, management and fitness. Her long-term focus is on continuing to support people with disabilities in building meaningful skills and independence. Outside of work, Akasha enjoys staying active at the gym, practicing Pilates, spending time at the beach and watching NBA. She also values quality time with family and friends.

I am a Behaviour Support Practitioner with a strong foundation in psychology and a passion for empowering individuals to live more independent and meaningful lives. I completed my Bachelor of Psychological Science at Deakin University and my Graduate Diploma in Psychology (Advanced) at the University of Adelaide. My professional journey began in youth work, where I supported young people through therapeutic programs and built my skills in trauma-informed care. Over time, I moved into behaviour support, where I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals with disability and complex needs. I develop and implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and train and guide staff to ensure strategies are delivered consistently and effectively. I take pride in using a person-centred approach building safe, trusting relationships and helping people achieve their goals while promoting their overall wellbeing. Volunteering with organisations like Lifeline and the Australian Refugee Association has further shaped my empathy and commitment to inclusive, culturally sensitive support. Outside of work, I love expressing my creativity through sketching and have a lifelong passion for dance. Both allow me to recharge and stay inspired, which I bring back into my work every day. I’m excited to continue growing in this field and making a lasting difference in the lives of those I support.

I am a Behaviour Support Practitioner and Social Worker with AASW membership, experienced in supporting children, young people, and adults from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. My professional practice includes working with individuals with complex mental health conditions such as schizophrenia and personality disorders, as well as supporting people with neurological disorders including Parkinson’s disease and acquired brain injuries. I also have experience working with clients facing challenges related to drug and alcohol misuse. Coming from a culturally diverse background myself, I acknowledge the uniqueness of every individual and place strong value on using trauma-informed, culturally aware, and person-centred approaches to provide tailored support that empowers clients and respects their lived experiences. Fluent in both English and Cantonese, I am committed to delivering culturally sensitive and inclusive support. Alongside my professional practice, I actively volunteer with the State Emergency Service, where I contribute to rescue operations and provide assistance during emergencies. I also continue to train and compete in Muay Thai, having represented Australia in international competitions and applying the values of resilience, respect, and discipline throughout both my professional and personal life. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and caring for our two cats and one dog. I have a passion for the outdoors, often going camping and beaches, and travelling around the world. I am a social work professional with a Master of Social Work and a bachelor’s in psychology. I have extensive experience delivering non-clinical, trauma-informed, and strength-based support to individuals facing complex challenges. My background spans homelessness, tenancy advocacy, alcohol and other drugs, and CALD communities . I am passionate about empowering diverse communities by fostering hope, resilience, and self-efficacy, and I bring a person-centred approach to every aspect of my work. My previous roles within homelessness and alcohol and other drug services allowed me to conduct intake assessments, develop safety plans, and contribute to multi-agency responses in high-pressure environments. These experiences have honed my ability to communicate clearly and compassionately and maintain rigorous documentation standards. As a bilingual English-Spanish speaker, I am also able to engage and build trust with diverse stakeholders. I am passionate about child development, social justice, and creating systems-level impact. I am motivated by the opportunity to build hope, resilience, and self-efficacy in those I work with and to help improve wellbeing in people’s life.
